Burgundy Bike Tour

duza2

Burgundy is a Riding & Culinary Adventure!

This magical bike tour through Burgundy, is definitely for lovers of fine wine!

You’ll visit world heritage site vineyards, stunning castles, and hidden underground wine caves that have been used for centuries.

And of course, you’ll sample some of the finest wines on the planet.

About this tour…

We start our trip riding through Nuits-St.Georges, Pommard, Chassgne-Montrachet, & Vosne Romanee – villages rich in wine history. We’ll taste and learn about Grand Crus, Premier Crus and the Pinot grape used to make these great wines.

We’ll ride to Chateau du Rochepot and the famous, Chateau du Clos de Vougeot built by Cistern monks. You’ll ride over rolling hills and through more vineyards in one day than most have seen in a lifetime.

The next part of your cycling adventure, takes you into a land of wooded hills, lakes, and pastoral villages. We’ll ride where few other people venture, and enjoy the incredibly quiet roads of the Morvan region of Burgundy.

Leaving the wooded hills behind, we venture back into the vineyards of the famous Cote d’Or. We’ll ride to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy & enjoy exploring this village that is centered in World famous wine. Along with a great week of riding, we’ll descend into the labyrinth of caves underneath the city of Beaune to see thousands of aging bottles of wine.

Dining and Wines in Burgundy

Burgundian wines have a history and pedigree that is unique.

Did you know there are only 33 vineyards that produce Grand Cru wines, as opposed to 600 vineyards that produce Premier Cru?

On our trip you will have the opportunity to taste the difference between an average and exceptional wine.

Learn how to read a wine label to choose between a Grand Cru, Premier Cru, Village or AOC bottle, the next time you are choosing a wine.
